Some systems are sold in kit form with little thought about the location or conditions of the installation. Rooftop Safety Systems works with the manufacturers of the equipment to be installed to ensure that the correct solution is installed on your site. You will be provided with a copy of the installation plan along with your compliance documents upon completion. You will also get copies of all testing and other certification documents.
If you're not sure about the riggers you are about to use to install your safety system, ask them for their qualifications. All of our riggers hold current Workplace Health and Safety high-risk licenses in dogging and rigging, and also in the operations of Work Platforms and Scissor Lifts. Our team leaders all hold Advanced Rigging licenses which means they understand the mechanics of the span lines that they install, and are not just reading plans.
All of the Rooftop Safety Systems riggers hold working at height certificates, and most hold rope access certifications. This means that the team who are installing your safety system are going to be safe as well.
This is an initial, no cost, ground based assessment of your site. We won't climb, but will take measurements and photos. You will get a report of our audit upon completion.
This is the nuts and bolts. We will climb to your rooftop, and undertake a comprehensive safety inspection - edges, ladders, anchors - and provide you with a comprehensive audit report upon completion. There is a charge for this inspection.
Your rooftop audit may have identified some issues with your rooftop systems as they currently stand. We will propose a safety solution for you that will address any issues or deficiencies. If you decide to implement the solution provided, or another safe solution, we will install and certify the installation of your new Rooftop Safety System.
Approx sixth months after the installation of your new system, or when you notify us regarding an existing system, Rooftop Safety Systems technicians will attend your site, climb to or access your rooftop and undertake your annual recertification. Upon completion, you will be given a full report covering all testing and inspections undertaken, and any issues identified. This document will then form part of your risk plan for your site.
